I read part of 'What Causes AIDS?' and some of the replies. I'd say there's no way you can say it's a closed case that HIV doesn't cause AIDS according to the arguments in that paper, anyway.
I'm afraid I'm still convinced that it seems reasonable, based on induction, that HIV has something fundamental to do with AIDS.
Of course it's not a closed case.... The only people who say it's a closed case are those who refuse to talk about it except in ridicule and personal attacks.
The main point is not that HIV and AIDS are totally unrelated. The point is that some further research needs to be done to confirm that HIV is the sole pathogen leading to AIDS. The fact that no one wants to even discuss it is at least very strange.
Before anything significant can be done, a standardized testing method for HIV needs to be developed. Also what constitutes AIDS needs to be more clearly defined. The fact that these would both be helpful to the case either way and people still refuse to do so seems suspect.
